A hanging sculpture from my new exhibition “The Sun is but a Morning Star”;

Expanding on my interest in ancient scrolls and banners depicting stories, statements and illustrations, this artwork reinterprets a romantic relationship through the use of textiles.

Two bodies at opposite ends are seemingly close yet far, trying to reach each other. Clay pieces act as memories of events, with both sides holding different moments dear to their heart. Along the way, some have already been discarded or waiting to be captured, with each beaded section leaving a trace to the path of new discovery. These elements are fragile yet together they balance and hang strong..
